Donald Trump the ship designer?

Trump does not trust the new electromagnetic catapult systems on the newer aircraft carriers. Used for launching the fighter jets.

He plans to order that the new carriers revert to the older steam catapults. Does anyone know how the actual naval ship designers feel about this ?

Update:

By the way, the newer electromagnetic catapult technology is basically the same as the maglev trains, running in several places around the world.

most of the troops in the audience wanted steam. just because something is new, doesn't mean it's as reliable as something old school. many things are still working from 50 years ago, (like a fridge), but a new fridge with circuit boards and electronics breaks in 5 years or less. and if the electricity goes out on the carrier, no planes can take off. I know they'll have back up generators but how long will they last, if life support is needed as well. steam would be separate from that.
