Can Bank Directors POCKET money to crash a bank (because they know the government will bail it out) ?

Metro Bank (UK):

Seems like the CEO and Directors are sifting money out of the company and into their pockets (indirectly).

Because they know the government will pay back the customers, Will the directors act like cowboys on purpose ? (uncaring whether the bank goes bankrupt)

Bank directors can go to jail. The government can take just about everything they personally own, including claw-backs for stuff they sold or gave away the past few years. Then are are the civil suits, and the barrister and lawyer fees.
