I'm only on birth control to prevent getting ovarian cysts. Is there another way I can prevent them without hormones?
First off, I understand the risks of pregnancy when quitting taking it. But even after lowing me to the lowest amount of hormones in the medicine possible (the mini-pill), I still have major anxiety attacks. I quit taking it a while back and they stopped. I felt so much better. But I got ovarian cysts so they put me back on it. This sucks.

Because ovarian cysts are very hormone based, there isn't a hormone free way of dealing with them.
I recommend considering anxiety medication, or other anxiety treatments to help deal with your anxiety caused by the pill. I would also consider a low dose hormone pill, like the mini pill, if you can.

Well, there's complete hysterectomy. But aside from that, hormones to stop ovulation are the only preventative treatment.
