To induce labor or wait?
Taking a poll: baby is full term and ready as far as health and I’m 85% thinned and 2 cm dilated. The doc said baby is so healthy I can be induced on my due date if I want or wait if I want, that it’s up to me and just let her know. She said I can even call a day ahead of my due date and decide if I’m ready. But I like to be prepared and schedule things more in advance. We love the idea of having the baby on Cinco De Mayo (the due date) as it would just be fun to celebrate our child’s birthday on a holiday every year but also I want to give the baby time to develop the strongest brain and lungs possible and am nervous. We’re not Mexican unless it’s way back in our genealogy. We just like to celebrate different cultures. And I read a study that was fine that babies Born last their due date have higher cognitive abilities. I’m 39 weeks + 3 days today so I’m full term. So I don’t know if it will make a big brain development difference or not. But it’s coming soon either way! I’m also so tired of being pregnant! I’m always sick and vomiting and hurting and can’t wait to feel better! So if baby doesn’t come on his own by that date, what decision would you make?! Hubby is ready as can be it says it’s up to me. I’d like to call the doc and tell them today! It’s just such a hard choice!
4 AnswersWomen's Health11 months agoIf there is no cure for the COVID-19, how is it that people are being treated after diagnosis and no longer having it after more tests?
Is what I read about no cure incorrect or does it go away like chicken pox and come back later in another form like shingles or in the same form? I do know there's no immunization to prevent it and wonder if this is what they meant when I read there is no cure.
1 AnswerInfectious Diseases1 year agoPlease help me to stop freaking out! Thank you.?
The baby is due in just over a month. I looked around my house yesterday and had a complete panic attack/ meltdown and kinda went off on hubs bc I can’t lift anything and he hasn’t finished doing the things I can’t do yet. He works so much and he always uses that as an excuse but when we have no help, I think it’s time he fix whatever issue it is with is work and stop coming home so stressed and tired that it effected our home life. He also hasn’t given me one massage last about 1 minute this whole pregnancy. I love him to death I’m just feeling overwhelmed and need him to make a miracle happen at our house. I know probably wrong of me but I can’t do it! I can’t lift anything and keep getting sick as I have the whole time. I work hard though don’t get me wrong. We had so much change to make in our house after finding out I got pregnant and still do. The more pregnant I get, the harder it is. And I have had such a rough pregnancy which makes it really hard. Then I continued panicking bc I’m tired of feeling so awful and unable to do normally easy things all the time. Then I continued panicking bc he’s not as excited as me about the baby. I cried so many tears last night. In the midst of the stressing and crying my baby kicked a bunch and balled up in my belly. I felt so bad. I also felt tummy and back pains horribly. Yea that freaked me out too. I was a hot mess last night. This all game out of nowhere! Yikes. Is this nesting?
Pregnancy1 year agoShould a healthy pregnant woman worry about eating too much sugar? Please read the notes before answering. Thank you.?
During pregnancy, if a mother produces healthy insulin levels and passes the pre-gestational diabetes test with flying colors (even though she eats a lot of sugar), can the baby be harmed by sugar intake? Say the baby is measuring correctly at ultrasound check ups and all blood work and urine tests are healthy. Also, her other meals are all very nutritional to herself and for baby development. Should she still worry if she's having trouble with often eating more sugary items due to her cravings? Or, should she just enjoy the desert foods or candy as she's pregnant and deserves it?
2 AnswersPregnancy1 year agoWhat do you do if you find out that your health insurance agent falsified your information?
My agent last year falsely reported my annual household income last year as a much lower than truthful amount and I had no idea until this year when all the sudden my insurance raised almost $300! It took hours on the phone to find out why and he had reported my household making way less as he put in there that i wasn't married and was in a single household. I am scared they will come after me for back pay even though its his fault I'm so mad.
8 AnswersInsurance1 year agoNeeding bump photo advice?! ?
This is for my baby bump photos that I want to do to document the progression of my pregnancy. I am shopping for a long stretchy dress to use throughout the 9 months of carrying my little bun in the oven for the photos to show the change. I've never been pregnant so it's very hard to estimate how big my belly will get or if I will outgrow a stretchy dress but I definitely want to make sure it fits and am sure I can push it down at first over my belly to show the bump when it is to big! But I'm scared to get one way to small or big. How many sizes up do most do for their bump photo clothes? What's your experience when you were pregnant? The stretchiness should help but I'm guessing I should get it one that's currently a little big. I'm probably about a size 9 in pants (though at 10 weeks I've forgone jeans as they dig into my belly and cause reflux) and medium in shirts if that helps. Thanks so much! <3
Pregnancy2 years agoHow can I ensure my baby gets cute clothes at the baby shower that are gender specific if my husband doesn't want to know our baby's gender?
Baby clothes are my fave! And I don't want to have to pay an arm aned a leg for them. We have a big family and it would be so helpful to get their help on this and fun to see at the baby shower. They would enjoy it too. But I want to make my hubby happy and understand that he doesn't want to know and wants to be surprised. I don't want to ruin that for him. Maybe I could have people put their gender specific gifts on a different table and not open them until after the baby is born? Would that be rude? I know I could find out and not tell him theoretically. But keeping it a secret would be hard lol. Thanks.
7 AnswersNewborn & Baby2 years agoHow would you recommend I tell my work that I am pregnant?
I am the travel manager and the only travel agent in our office. I was hired to do everything that normally 2-6 employees would do. They do not offer paid time off or maternity leave or any benefits. When I take off they will be screwed however I know I will need to do what's right for me and the baby. I'm not sure how long I'm going to need yet but they will have no one to fill in for me for sure. So when I tell them, I expect they will be either unprepared or just not offer me enough time off. I love my job and clients but I am already underpaid. I can't afford to just quit though and I want to maintain the same career. I am applying for work from home travel agent jobs with other companies as this is the only one in my town. However, that's a backup. What should I say when I tell them?! Thanks.
9 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment2 years agoI'm only on birth control to prevent getting ovarian cysts. Is there another way I can prevent them without hormones?
First off, I understand the risks of pregnancy when quitting taking it. But even after lowing me to the lowest amount of hormones in the medicine possible (the mini-pill), I still have major anxiety attacks. I quit taking it a while back and they stopped. I felt so much better. But I got ovarian cysts so they put me back on it. This sucks.
2 AnswersWomen's Health2 years agoHow can a person lose weight with major digestive issues that prevent me from eating healthy foods?
I ve been seeinga gastroenterologist for some time now as I have major digestive issues including- IBS, GERD, a Hiatal Hernia, Intestinal Ulcers, and Gastroparesis. Due to these issues, I vomit a lot even on meds. The meds help but don t cure my issues and I m not a candidate for surgery for my hiatal hernia because of my gastroparesis. The only thing that seems to help when I m sick is to eat bread or crackers and dring gingerale. Because of this, I eat a lot of carbs. I am a pescetarian meaning I only eat seafood for meat. But too many veggies or fruits or liquids cause reflux. This makes it very hard to consume enough water. As my symptoms get worse, I keep gaining weight. I m not huge it s just that I feel I will be if this keeps up! Any advice from dieticians would help.
93 AnswersOther - Diseases2 years agoWhat is a good excuse to leave work early for counseling?
I don't want my boss or coworkers to know that I am leaving for a counseling session and they can't get me in any time other than during my work schedule. I would hate to call in sick for the whole day to visit a therapist. I don't know what reason to give as I don't trust my bosses to not gossip.
17 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment2 years agoCan you re-consolidate a consolidation?
I had all of my student loans consolidated a few years ago and was able to pay less by doing so but still will be paying for 18 more years. I have made all of my payments but I have hospital debt as well and have recently come across a company that consolidates all debts (not just student loans) and the payment plans are sometimes only 4 years or so. The sooner I can come out of debt, the sooner I can feel like an adult who is in control of my own life!
Does anyone know if I can have loans that are consolidated by one company re- done by another consolidation company? Or am I stuck with what I have?

Ie... seeing a therapist.
Is it just a money trap or is it worth it for those who are stressed out and looking for help?
6 AnswersPsychology2 years agoI have a fun question for adults! Ideas for way to deliver my sexy christmas gift to my husband? How to role play...?
Due to the stress of the holidays and costs we've spent on everyone for gifts, we decided to set a budget for each others gifts of only $5! I bout a sexy outfit that makes me look like I am a christmas gift. It's very nude with a giant ribbon. I was going to have $5 and wear that! But how can I role play this to make it sexy and fun and not weird? Ideas?
5 AnswersChristmas2 years agoI'm writing a travel blog. What would be a smart name for my blog to bring in customers and readers?
I'm weary of giving it a name that implies the name of my agency or naming it after the agency I work for. Of course I will probably mention my agency of work in the posts but should I ever start my own agency, I want it to carry forward. I also want it to be more personal than that. Would you suggest naming it after what I would hypothetically name my own agency or after myself or just a travel theme? I'm up for suggestions.
2 AnswersSmall Business2 years agoIs it illegal for your boss (the owner of your company) to have you write articles for her to publish in the paper under her name?
On the one hand, I agreed because I don't want to get in trouble. On the other hand, I feel weird about it. I want the business it will bring. On the other hand, that's not her work and she's getting credit. Isn't that plagiarism? I want to know if this is illegal. And if it is, is it just illegal on her part for putting her name on my work or both of ours if I knowingly oblige her request.
15 AnswersLaw & Ethics3 years agoHow can I be more confident about my appearance or stop worrying about it without letting myself go?
I ve been struggling with this lately. Especially since it s summertime. I go to festivals and see girls with perfect bodies and skin and hair chugging beers in belly shirts, no makeup, and still looking super hot.
It s hard for me because First off, I m a strawberry blonde haired girl. So I am very pale no matter how hard I might try to tan and burn easy. I feel like a flashlight in my bikini lol. Like my belly blinds people because I m so white.
Also I have some noticeable belly fat and love handles this year. I fell in love and put on 30 lbs.
My husband is proud getting more tired of hearing me beat myself up then he admits...
I want to take yoga classes but don t want to work out in front of people and embarrass myself.
How can I be less insecure?
I just feel like I look less healthy than I really am.
3 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 years agoWhat's the first thing you would do if you found out your workplace was closing and you were being layed off?
I'll go first!
For me, other than the obvious seeking employment thing, it would be to change my hair. My employer has a strict policy on how we have our hair believe it or not. And it sucks. I'd goo crazy with it and dye my hair multi colored or something. You?
