What is the solution for oral rehydration to replenish electrolytes?

I’ve read that you mix with 2 tbsp of sugar with a 1/2 tsp of salt into 1 liter of water or use 6 tbsp of sugar? Which one is more efficient? Also, would glucose and Himalayan salt be appropriate for this mixture?

Your body needs water to digest sugar - something like seven molecules of water for every molecule of simple carbohydrate. So sugary drinks don't really help if you're actually dehydrated.

Salt contains sodium, but not potassium, calcium, or magnesium. You can get a large sugar-fee sports drink (Gatorade, Powerade) for less than a dollar. That, coupled with drinking some extra water, will rehydrate you. If your dehydration is too severe for that, you should be at the emergency room getting IV fluids.

You probably don't need to replace electrolytes but if you do just but some gatorade
