I need help with a crime novel idea?

This particular victim happens to be the ex-husband of the killer and he is super suspicious of her. Since the ex-husband is an extreme catholic the murder would be a satanic sacrifice but don't have any ideas on how to lure him to the altar. Any ideas?

Why would the victim need to be a Catholic? Baptists, Presbyterians, and Pentecostals - even atheists and other non-Christians - have been ritually sacrificed to whomever the communicants worship . What does the Devil get out of the deal but blood, entrails and roast flesh? He can't own the soul of a committed Christian, only an apostate.

The man is a Catholic, so how can he be divorced? Has the Catholic Church changed its prohibition of divorce? I thought it recognized separation and annulment under certain conditions.

As for luring him, why not kidnap him, bind him and drag him to the place? Or kidnap his child or other person he loves, and take him when he delivers the ransom?

With a Taco Bell Supreme Burrito, or the bucket of loaded fries from White Castle. Who could resist those crispy crinkly fries with cheese and bacon bits?

He is called in to perform an exorcism, but gets sacrificed in a satanic ritual.
