My dog Scratched me! Should I be scared? ☹️?

So 2 days ago, my dog scratched me, he got vaccinated when we bought him 3 years ago. The scratch cause small blood spots tiny ones. Should I be scared? I washed it with soap, added mupicin after it happened too. He s a 3 year old dog, going 4.

Wha u wit your d? Why would you be so worried. , you mean in all the time you’re ever owned him you never received a scratch or cut?

Do you let your dog run loose in the woods with feral dogs killing animals and fighting other animals that are rabid so he has been exposed to rabies and usually comes home in the mornings ripped apart, torn patches of skin and fur, bloody and wild eyed? Do you leave him rot in filth and rat her nasty, soiled in mud and his own excrement so there’s valid reason to panic worrying about sepsis or tetanus ?

Dogs usually wear collars or harnesses. occasionally an owner gets scratched by them, they use wash with soap and water cleaning the scape or cut just like if they scraped on a fork, drawer, cup, shelf, laundry basket etc. it’s a scrape, a small break in the skin that could let an infection just like any other scrape received on just about anything else. If it were a rusty nail or metal I would be a tiny bit concerned for tetanus.

Yes it is true strange dogs and feral animals carry rabies amongst many their diseases, usually passed on by saliva transference or bodily fluids. If you take reasonable care of the dog, is Current on his shots and doesn’t rod and is lean, not caked in filth then what’s the huge panic about? Do you have hemophilia and worry by bleeding to death? You obviously have had a aut or scrape before or you wouldn’t have known how to treat it.

You we’re not savagely attacked and mauled by your dog or he would be at a vet clinic trying to figure out if he was sick. It also was not a strange dog that bit you.

Just keep any scratches watch for signs of infection just like any other skin injury that breaks the skin, soap, water, antibiotic cream every day, keep covered.
