Why have I had my period twice this month?

I had my period exactly 2 weeks ago and it lasted 3 days and was actually really really light and thats compared to my normally light periods. And today, my period started again and its only been two weeks? Is this normal or is there something wrong? If it helps, I’m 16 and started my period at around 13? I don’t know what to do!

That happened to me in May. After getting periods for the past 8 years, it was the most bizarre thing. But it happened to me after 2 weeks of going hard for exams, and packing up my room to leave college for the summer. Sometimes when our life suddenly goes from hectic to relaxing, or relaxing to hectic, it screws with our hormones and bodily rhythms. Other things that could change your periods are a change in weight, a change in diet, etc. our body’s don’t follow a man made calendar, in all reality. It does its own thing. Our body’s are quite sensitive to change.

It happens sometimes. If you are having a stressful time, it can have an effect. If you are 16, are you in the middle of exam season? If so, that could be the cause. Nothing to worry about unless it happens a few more times.
