Why is there a general public need to know details of a 'domestic' when the candidate is running for a private, Conservative ballot?

I couldn't possibly imagine. The only point is that it's that the only way party members will find out about It. So what do THEY think? Most probably couldn't care less - all that matters is "will he do a good job?"

Reminds me of visiting an American friend in the week of the presidential election in 2005. Obama won, next day Rick and I went to a diner for breakfast, and all that was on the TV screens was "wow, we have a black president!" I kept my big mouth shut... for all I care, he could be sky-blue pink with yellow spots, but will he turn out to be any good?
