Is it okay for me to sing with my head voice when I’m fully capable of hitting those same notes with my chest voice?

I just like the sound of my head voice better

Is that professional

Context matters. If you aren't coordinated to smoothly go through your passaggio, then it's going to be what sounds best in the context. If you're doing a lot of head voice stuff, then head voice is the best. If you're doing mostly chest voice stuff in that area, then chest voice. Then there's also what is the most vocally efficient. Head voice is the most efficient. Professional singers also do something called marking where they will do what is easiest while practicing then use what sounds best during performance. Again, to sum it all up, context is the most important factor.

Well you will get the most applause with chest voice for sure, but i always appreciate a lil angelic hv:)

Who told you your chest voice is the same range as your head voice? Do you realize how absurd that sounds? What about your middle voice?

Use your head voice. If you have been trained in how to belt (sing high in your chest voice) them you run a risk of damage - and it sounds awful.
