A salvage title vehicle is worth about 30% less that a similar car with a clean title. Never ever buy a salvage title car that was in a flood or that was hit in the front. Only buy one that was hit in the rear and one where you can see photos of the damage before it was repaired.

$300 or less. Salvage title on an old car is worthless. If your car was a total loss, let your insurance company keep the car.

A salvaged vehicle is literally worth its weight in scrap, nothing more.

Doesn't matter if it still drives, doesn't matter if the stereo still works, doesn't matter if the damage is purely cosmetic, and doesn't matter if you bought it brand new with 10km on the odometer. Salvage means it's been damaged to the point where it's not worth fixing.

Notice how I didn't say can't be fixed, but I said not worth fixing. That's because there is no such thing as a vehicle that can't be fixed, but there is such thing as a vehicle that isn't worth fixing.

About 50% of the value of the same car, same mileage, same condition that does not have a salvage title.

VERY much less. A salvage title means the car at one point was so damaged the insurance company called it "totaled" and just paid off the owner, took title to the car and sold it to a wrecking yard. Some wrecking yards have been known to take the undamaged front end of one car, with the VIN number, cut off the back where it was damaged and weld on the undamaged back of a second car. This was more common when cars had frames but it still can be done. Weld joints often are not done well and will eventually rust thru and the car will fall apart. Some insurance companies will not insure a car with a salvage title, some states do not allow those cars to be licensed. You might find you have a car that is illegal to drive. Check your state laws.

Only dummies buy a salvaged title vehicle.

You should be more concerned with how many thousands of dollars it's going to cost you.

Typically, a car with a salvage title is worth about 1/2 of what a similar car with a clean title would bring.

On that old of a car, about 25-33% less than a clean title.

Unless you mean on trade. Then you'd be lucky to get half.

quite a bit for sure. Please don't expect to sell it because no one will buy it.

1/4 to 1/2 of a similar Infiniti without a salvage title.
