Rock & Pop: What would you do, in this scenario?
Hello, Rock & Pop. Here is a scenario that I would like to present, for you guys:
- Let's say that somehow, you were transported to the year of 1989, and you were at a Christmas party. During that Christmas party, you ran into Greg Ginn, and attendees of this party included the members of Husker Du, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., the Minutemen & the Meat Puppets. You're having a good time, and all of those bands that I mentioned got along with each other. Additionally, D. Boon came back to life, and he hung out with the members of Husker Du.
However, Greg Ginn drank too much alcohol, and he threw a beer bottle at Lou Barlow. J Mascis stood back and slept in the corner, but Cris Kirkwood flew into a rage, and he punched Lee Ranaldo in the face. Kim Gordon slipped, and she broke her arm on a table. Bob Mould argued with Grant Hart, and George Hurley played with his hair. A massive fight occurs, and you know that you have to break this up. Unfortunately, if you choose to break up this fight, then SST Records would be erased from existence.
What would you do, in this scenario?
BQ: Has anything changed at Rock & Pop recently?
BQ2: Do you guys remember users such as Wondermoose, Purple Haze, Hurricain & Opiner?
BQ3: True or False: The 80s were the best decade, for indie/alternative music.
BQ4: What do you think would happen, if Limp Bizkit covered Swans?

there is only one thing to do: kill the zombie d. boon.
BQ: just circled a little closer to the drain. i suppose you've noticed the captcha and the 15 character or more rule.
BQ2: yeah, hurricain still shows up sometimes
BQ3: i think i'd actually go with this decade right here. but i know where you are coming from, so much of whats good about underground music seems to start in either the late 70s or early 80s.
BQ4: you know, i'm sure this was meant as a joke but i actually think limp bizkit could pull that off if they could summon the taste to not follow their impulses and ruin it. it could only be better than their originals anyway.

I dont really break up fights.
BQ: Yes, an azzhole music snob like myself has arrived on the scene..
BQ: Nar, im from the Gender Studies section. Maintenance & Repairs before that.
BQ: False, I am a Death Metal and Alt Rock fan.
BQ: It would be interesting to see if Limp Bizkit could effectively capture the essence of The Swans without butchering them.
Personally I would pay to see Fear Factory, Godflesh, or early Anathema cover the Swans As I think the album "Filth" was very influential on those 3 bands.

I would just chill out and take in the drama.
BQ: Wire and String took care of this question.
BQ2: Purple Haze and Hurricain sound familiar. The other two do not.
BQ3: False. The 80s had a lot of fantastic alt/indie music, but I tend to prefer the past 15-20 years.
BQ4: Is Swans the name of a song? (I hate Limp Bizkit.)

I would thank you for the two points.
