Is it legal to have body cameras in the new York City housing authority watching tenants every day.?

    It is legal in most states regardless of time of day as long as filming is only in common/ public areas. You have no guarantee of privacy outside of your apartment.

    I don't see why it wouldn't be legal. People record situations all the time and usually they do it for their own safety, or to prove that they were not liable in a particular situation.

    Also, if you are outside, you have no expectation of privacy, regardless of where you are.

    If Housing Authority people have a history of being attacked, it would be legal for them to have body cameras.
