Best cities to live in order to be an entertainer and creator?

I want to work in entertainment, writing, acting, radio, TV, jusst to name a few thing of what im talking about. I live in a very small town and am about to graduate and am trying to figure out where to move. I know Los Angeles and New York City are always at the top of lists for things like this but is that true? thanks.

    Chicago and Atlanta are both emerging as media centers.

    Any large major city. Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, New Orleans , Austin all come up as a good alternatives to NYC and Hollywood.

    Every major city has need of people in media. I hope your degree is in film, drama or similar or you will have almost no chance of getting work. How many plays have you been in?

    LA and NYC are your two places where you actually can earn a living in show business. Las Vegas would be next, but it can't compare with NY and LA for opportunities.
