I don’t female soccer players deserve equal prize money at the World Cup do you?

Let’s be honest they generate less money , viewership is lower and nobody women’s soccer year rounds . These kooks are foolish for even thinking about this .

If people aren't as interested in it then they won't get paid the same. There would never be empty seats at a men's world cup. For entertainers it is their popularity with the public that determines their incomes.

Beyoncé and Taylor Swift don't complain that they earn more money than some male singers who aren't as popular.

If feminists want women to be paid more it is simple. They only have to turn up en mass at women's football matches and buy tickets.

Money in football is ridiculous. Nobody should be earning 300k per week, it's a ridiculous amount of money regardless of whether you are male or female. Do footballers work harder than Firemen, nurses and Police Officers? I would say not, so does that mean that they should also get paid 300k a week? Which jobs are more important?

Your arguments, at least in regards to the US Soccer Federation, are invalid. The USSF are the employer's of players on the national teams.

I'm afraid you ignore the fact that the USSF is a tax exempt, non-profit organization. Its mission is to promote soccer for all ages and genders in the US. About 52% of all registered youth soccer players in the US are female, and their registration fees pay for USSF operations. Those operations include pay to national team players.

You also don't mention results. The USSF's women's teams have had stunning international success, while the USSF's men's teams have for the most part been uncompetitive. The USSF pays the women far less than the men, for far better results.

The US Olympic Committee, also a non-profit, pays cash to all US Olympic medalists. The only criteria as to the amount is whether the medal is gold, silver, or bronze. There is no breakdown based on how much revenue a sport produces, nor an athlete's gender. The USSF should do the same, and start paying for results.

  • Yes...they do deserve equal pay. They play as many games as the men and they should make the same money. They actually make less (as a percentage of revenue) than the men do. SO PAY THEM.

They want to give female soccer players equal pay even though they don't generate nearly the same amount of revenue as the male soccer league. I understand the whole equality thing but to call sexism about the unequal overpayment is very foolish. It just comes down to tough luck at the end of the day.
