3 AnswersCelebrities8 years agoCan a Boeing 747 fly with just one engine from four working?
Yes I know it probably would never happen, before all the sarcastic people start piping up. But if a 747 was at say 32,000 feet and three from four engines failed, how long could it stay in the air?

For example Polish as in a person from Poland or polish as in to polish your shoes. Both words have different meanings but are spelled the same. How do you tell google which one you mean?
2 AnswersGoogle8 years agoDoes anybody remember this episode from the series "Tales from the Crypt"?
I have been looking through a detailed list of all seven series from Tales from the Crypt, however I cannot find this episode on the list, but I clearly remember it. The episode I remember involves a group of teenage friends who visit a lake. Whilst mucking about on a raft or a boat on the lake they spot a large black gooey mass in the lake that keeps moving towards them. It turns out that this black object is some kind of evil swamp creature and one by one the creature kills the group. Does anybody else remember this episode and know what series it was from because I can't find it anywhere?
1 AnswerOther - Television9 years agoHow long can an adult human being survive without food, but with unlimted water?
I know it would differ from person to person. But I will give an example, a 30 year old man in good health, average height, average weight. This man is locked in a cell with no food, but he has access to a tap which provides drinking water. How long could he survive (roughly) without food and still make a full recovery to health?
9 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoCompensation for additional costs incurred. Are they liable? Are we liable? What is the law on this matter?
I have a customer who purchased a light fitting from my company. This light fitting was installed in a commercial premises and that was the end of that. However after only one month the fitting has stopped working and needs to be replaced. The manufacturer of the light fitting has agreed to replace the fitting free of charge because it's under warranty. But the customer is saying that he has got to pay for an electrician to travel all the way back to the site (120 miles away), then hire a cherry picker because it's installed at high level. The customer is arguing that our company or the manufacturer should pay for the hire of the cherry picker, the electricians wages for the job and his fuel as it's not his fault the fitting is faulty. The manufacturer say they are not legally bound to do so, and will only pay for the replacement light fitting. What is the law on this matter?
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics9 years agoIf you were a member of a jury could you find somebody guilty, even if there wasn't enough evidence?
For example there was reasonable doubt that they actually committed the crime they were charged with in court. But it was obvious that the person charged was a scumbag and had a criminal record as long as your arm which included abh, gbh and rape. They made it obvious they were not a very nice person with their conduct in court, by swearing at the jury and insulting the witnesses. Would you find them not guilty because there was doubt with some of the evidence or would you find he/she guilty regardless? Because it was obvious to you that as soon as they were freed they would commit more crime. What would you do?
