How long can an adult human being survive without food, but with unlimted water?
I know it would differ from person to person. But I will give an example, a 30 year old man in good health, average height, average weight. This man is locked in a cell with no food, but he has access to a tap which provides drinking water. How long could he survive (roughly) without food and still make a full recovery to health?

Yes, ingesting most effective water, the traditional good-nourished grownup can continue to exist roughly 2 months. But after the primary four weeks, s/he'll begin to come to be weaker and expand signs of hunger. For roughly the primary four weeks, the frame can continue to exist in well situation through utilizing up the fats saved within the frame. The first four-five days are the toughest, when you consider that your frame is anticipating to be fed. After that, the frame begins to preserve power through making the digestive approach gradual down [it does not have so much to do besides). The man or woman will begin to have little bits of diarrhea, however that is extra an inconvenience than something to fear approximately; it is simply the intestine eliminating what little stays in there. After the 4th or fifth day, starvation will steadily fade away to not anything. After roughly four weeks, relying at the man or woman, a starving starvation will go back all of the sudden. This is the sign that the frame has used up all its reserves. The man or woman will now must consume otherwise there might be a few harm to the frame, even though no longer always everlasting.

First aid courses (used to) teach 30 days without food, three days without water, three minutes without blood. They had a point to make about blood, but I believe 30 days is a good rule of thumb.
As to your condition of making a "full recovery to health", starvation might expose a weakness not previously known. So your whole question is really "how long is a bit of string?"

A very long time but whether full recovery would be possible is debatable as your vital organs would start to shut down. This was an extreme case & he died.

Hi.
We used to be told that the human body can survive 3 days without water but 11 days without food. Not sure after how long there are long-term repercussions but from a pure survival point of view, I think that's correct.
Hope this helps!

About three months, give or take. Most will survive for a shorter amount of time; maybe two months. Many, notably Hindu Fakirs, claim to have gone years without food or water.

Ive actually read somewhere some people can make it up to 30 days without food and just water, depending on your weight and body I'm guessing.

I believe it is average of 2 or 3 weeks with water, and if you have no water it would drastically decrease your lifespan to about 3-5 days, and sometimes a week if your lucky.
