Will Boris Johnson win the next general election ?
It now looks almost certain he's going to be the next Prime minister so what do you think might happen in 2022 or earlier?

He looks too clownish----------but then Trump won, so hey, it could happen there too.

He has more chance of doing it than Theresa May. Competent as she is, she doesn't exactly appeal to people or have that campaigning charisma. As became painfully obvious in the 2017 general election campaign.
Most likely is that no party will win the next general election, in terms of getting over half the seats. Boris will win in his own seat, sure, I live in the constituency next door and know well that his hardly ever goes for Labour. (Like mine - it'd vote for a donkey wearing a blue rosette.) But as for the rest of the country voting Conservative, another minority government looks more like it. Since the SNP virtually turned Scotland into a one-party state, and Labour are led by a mad socialist, Labour can't win (they always relied on Scottish seats in the past and the only time they ever had a big majority was when they were led by Tory-lite Blair).
So the big questions are how long can Conservative MPs put up with Boris, and will the election result be a Conservative overall majority or not. We shall have to see what Boris actually achieves.

It will happen earlier if the Conservatives pick Boris Johnson. I don't think Mr. Johnson can hold the Conservatives together and would not be shocked at him losing a vote of confidence before the end of the year.
With the Lib Dems having recovered from their mistake of forming a coalition with the Conservatives in 2010, I can't see the Conservatives avoiding losses in the next general election. I don't think Jeremy Corbyn has a prayer of winning enough seats for their to be a Labour majority, but it will be close as to which of the two parties comes out of the general election with the most seats -- but the balance of power will lie with the Lib Dems, the SNP, and the DUP.

Yes I do believe its going to be BoJo, but I really wish they would consider the possibility of a celebrity PM, after all it has worked so well for America with Reagan and Trump.
The obvious choice would be Hugh Grant, I think he would be hugely popular, and I think he has played PM in a film.
Other choices I would really like to see are Jeremy Clarkson or Rowan Atkinson, relating to the people is half the job, the rest they can muddle their way thru, don't worry they will figure it out.
Or even Dawn French as a female PM, how about that?
