Why sometimes I can't take a full breath because I get sharp pain between my ribs and my rib cage won't expand because it hurts too much?

This symptom goes away after 10-20 mins, but sometimes the pain is so severe that I have to lay down and can't keep upright position. What is this?

    I could be wrong but maybe stay more hydrated

    Pleurisy or partial lung collapse either one can be a source of this pain.

    It’s either damaged or you got bronchitis
