Moving to Germany from America, phone plans that let me call/text Americans too?
i am from america but im moving to germany next month to study. are there any phone contracts that would allow me to text and call germans and americans while i am in germany most of the year and also allow me to text and call americans and germans while i am in america 3 months out of the whole year?

I advise Skype. Get the most frequent called people to also get Skype - it will be free. Get a secure internal number to use locally in Germany. Drop a few bucks into Skype for calling land lines from Germany , back to the US.

All of them. And all of them will charge you (heavily) for calls (and texts) outside the EU. Get a contract with a large data allocation and use skype (or a similar IP based service).
