    The ones that ive encountered seems to be hotheaded and witty and snotty.

    A good scientist is intentionally dispassionate about their work in order to not sway results with biases, and wishful thinking. But that is not the same as emotionless.

    Scientists are people, they come with emotions (and there are a wide variety of them). But when people are DOING science, if they want to do it properly, they have to suppress their emotions and rely on observable evidence and follow where that evidence leads.
