Back when I invested in the market I had about 1/3 in a money market account that dealt with "emerging markets " stocks
Another 1/3 was invested in a fund that dealt in international "established markets"
The other 1/3 was invested domestically

About 15% in expressly international companies. BUt, my mutual funds probably have some as well

Probably about 30-35% but I haven't actually calculated that statistic lately. I'd have to go look at the top holdings of my mutual funds.
I don't really get too worked up about the distinction. For many American companies a significant portion of their revenue comes from international sales.
