Historical Figures represented in movies?

Do you think films have a responsibility to be accurate when representing historical figures, or do you think they may be creative with history for the sake of entertainment?

An exmaple i thought of was the movie 300, but what would be your depiction of this.

If you have any other examples think of movies/tv shows/video games.

    Motion pictures are for entertainment, and the truth factually presented can be boring. To see something more accurate you need to watch documentaries.
