Looking to upgrade the RAM in my laptop with the vengeance 16gb 2400 chip set? The laptop does have an additional slot for RAM.?

These are the specs of my laptop. Just wondering if this upgrade is possible.

    Your laptop will automatically clock the RAM down to 2133 however you need to specify if you are adding a 16GB module, adding an 8GB module to get 16GB RAM or replacing the existing RAM with a 16GB set. If you are upgrading the RAM by adding modules then you need to check that both modules support the same steppings. If you are upgrading by replacing and installing a new set then it should be fine and the laptop will be good to go.

    Probably. My main concern would be that your laptop was built and tested 2133 speed, but given that HP upgrade mem for that notebook is also PC4-2400, you should be OK. Assuming you mean this kit: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/...

    If you make the upgrade I highly recommend you run an extensive and exhaustive memory test, such as memtest86: https://www.memtest86.com/ to make sure everything is OK. Otherwise running with flaky memory can be a real PITA, with lots of blue screens.
