Alien, the lion is a feline while the human is a homo sapien; both are mammals, but they are not ancestors. Although chimpanzees has have a similar DNA makeup, we are not their "relatives," either, unless you misread Darwin, as many do.

The lion can never be the ancestor of humans.That is, historians tell us that a lion cannot be our ancestor.Chimpanzees can be our ancestors.This is somewhat justified.So finally I think chimpanzee may be our ancestor but not a lion.

Humans did not evolve from Chimps. Humans and Chimps had a common ancestor a very long time ago. And THAT common ancestor had a common mammalian ancestor with the LION a VERY, VERY long time ago.

Chimpanzees aren't all vegetarian, they've been seen cannibalizing infants and enemies, and a lion has a mane around his entire neck not a beard. Not to mention, lions don't have arms, hands, and thumbs like humans and chimps.
