    Research also points this way, a study by Lund university reports that swapping to a plant based diet isn't in the top 5 ways to cut back on greenhouse emissions.

    Being vegan has nothing to do with “saving the planet”. So, I suppose I'd agree with your statement. In the same way I'd say, not everyone needs to be tee-total to save the planet.

    The two things are completely unrelated. But, if everybody became vegan all of the sudden, it would damage the economy along with a mass genocide of all animals currently being taken care of. Hardcore vegans got it backwards, Not following the food chain is an act of genocide.

    It is an extreme view that 'all need to veg[etari]an to save the planet. People have eaten meat etc since the Palaeolithic so why would it suddenly become unsustainable in the 21st century AD, It is probably better for us to reduce some kinds of meat but no need to give it up altogether
