Why is anti-contrarian bigotry okay?
Seriously, I'm pissed at constantly being denigrated because I don't believe in assumptions based on logic, rather than the sum total of human experience. I choose to believe that peoples logic is much more likely than there sense data to be faulty.
It grates. We'd dispose of a lot of nonsense very quickly, if we actually merely adopted critical thinking as our guiding force rather than our own ego represented by our beliefs. It saddens me that people care more about their ego, and hence their beliefs, than the uncompromising search for the truth.
