Passive or Active? Which investing strategy do you follow and why?

    Passive. I have my funds picked out - large, mid, small caps, international & bonds. And each month, 20% of my paycheck goes into my 401k (and these funds).

    I call it bricklaying. I just keep adding to existing positions with the occasional adding of a new position. Rarely something isn't working out and I feel its time to pull the plug, but mostly just keep building out my investment wall. I might start a fund for a particular investment goal like the one I just started to save for my next car.
