Which police department division is best in terms of pay/overall structure?

I am hoping to gain some perspectives from people who have an understanding of the different departments- I’m in Texas, but I know that there are various divisions such as state troopers, city cops, sheriff office, etc.

Any genuine input would be greatly appreciated! If you’re here to bash law enforcement or have nothing helpful to say, please save your time.

Why don't you call all the police stations on Texas? No one has the answer to your question.

Texas is a big state, Skippy... And except for the State Troopers, they are all independent agencies operated by the local county or city governments. If you want a listing of all the individual police agencies in Texas, broken down by pay and benefits, you'd better get started making your own list. You're going to be at for a long time.
