What type of food/Drink clears your throat the most? I have a performance night soon and my throat has mucus in it and I have high notes!!!?

    Honey & lemon in warm water.

    To get rid of mucus, I drink refrigerated water... the colder the better. It'll make you cough that right up and out.

    Gin. My Grandfather always called himself a "Gin tenor" because he needed a shot of gin to hit his high notes.

    Hot tea with lemon and honey will always do the trick for me. No dairy!

    I take an antihistamine tablet (non-drowsy type) well in advance and suck a sugar-free throat sweet soon before my performance. It seems to work.

    If neither is available, a glass of ginger wine or a large rum & black (dark rum and blackcurrent cordial) eases the mucus .... or maybe I just don't care so much about it :)

    Water is the ONLY drink that clears your throat.

    Port wine is good - but too much and you'll sing all the wrong notes.

    menthol mints, menthol lozenges, menthol chewing gum, cold and flu drinks (Lemsip powder sachets)

    Gargle with warm salt water amd drink lots of water.
