Why do New York Football teams play in New Jersey. Are there any other us states where one state team plays in a neighbor state?

    Giants and Jets play in New Jersey because they got a better stadium deal in NJ than in NY.

    Washington Redskins play in Maryland.

    The Jets used to play in Shea Stadium but (literally) couldn't afford the rent. They're just being cheap by having their stadium in East Rutherford.

    It's a little different but the Washington Redskins play in Maryland. The stadium deal was better in each case and it's still close.
