Would you consider Andrew Luck a bust?
The colts got rid of Manning for Luck to take over as his successor, and Luck was considered one of the best draft prospects at the time. When Luck played he was a good QB but he was hurt a lot and has now retired early. No superbowls. Would he be considered a bust? He did have some good seasons but didn’t nearly live up to the expectations

Nope
I never consider anyone whose career was derailed by injury a bust, especially if he played well when healthy

Not at all, other first overall picks like Bo Jackson, Jake Long and George Rogers retired prematurely but did great in their short careers.

They didn't get rid of Manning, they didn't have the cap space to keep him and had too many starters entering contract years. He was also recovering from a second neck surgery. The Colts were very lucky to win 10 games with Manning the season prior.
They also tanked games to draft Luck. But that's another story.
Luck was a very good QB and retiring early doesn't make him a bust. Patrick Willis and Megatron both left the game early, Barry Sanders famously retired after only a decade. Are they busts? No.

A QB is only as the guys in front of him.
He was sacked above average . He played injured .
He as a bust in ways but was it his fault
