Any suggestions of what brand of ukulele to get someone who’s beginning?

My first ukulele was a Luna concert ukulele. It is a bit expensive (about $150) but it was so worth it. It sounds great, it is definitely stage quality, I just bought the one without the plugin (same one Grace Vanderwaal played for her first audition). It holds it's tune very well too. I highly recommend this one, it's my favourite ukulele by far.

Read the information in the links below to start, then do more research on your own. Given the choice of buying a ukulele or guitar, I'd pick a guitar. Ukuleles should come with a Hawaiian shirt and should only be played on the beach. You might as well start playing the accordion, the banjo or kazoo.
