what foot do you lead with when getting on an escalator?

    If your left- handed, lead off with your right foot...the other if your right- handed...

    Most people lead with their right foot, however anyone who has been in the military has been retrained to lead with their left foot. So watch the folks get on the escalator and you can pick out the ex (or existing) military people by about 90% accuracy.

    Whichever one is next up in the rotation. I don't break stride unless it is crowded and I have to.

    But if I have the choice, I tend to prefer stairs.
