How do I avoid mosquito bites?
I just read that people are dying from mosquitos. I always get bit up even when using those candles. Also, do I need to wear but spray all the time since they can get indoors?
Tell me I’m not the only one freaked out by this ...

Well, the only way you can positvely avoid mosquito bites is to never go outside in the summer time.
In the US, just about the only way you're going to die from a mosquito bite is if you're bitten by a specific type of mosquito that is carrying Yellow Fever or malaria. Fortunately, most of those types of mosquitos have been eradicated from the US. They were prevalent during the 1800's, and today most of their breeding sites (swamps and marshy areas) have been drained and no longer exist.
1000's of people in the summer months in the US are bitten by common mosquitos every day, and the worst thing they suffer is itching at the site of the bite. for a few hours.
If you're still worried, your doctor can vaccinate you against Yellow Fever and malaria, if you ask him to.

I don't think that happens in the United States to any degree that you need to be concerned. The mosquitos here don't carry diseases.

I read the studies on topical mosquito preventatives. The candles are usually not very effective. The most effective substance found is lemongrass. I make my own spray as I live in Florida and I’m always getting bit. It works well snd it’s natural so safe on yourself and pets.

Take garlic tablets. The tablets dissolve in your gut and get into your blood without causing you to burp garlic. Your blood will taste like garlic and bugs will leave you alone. This worked wonders for me. I actually have an allergy to mosquito bites to where the swell up huge and can end up infected.
