Legally in the USA no- but who would know. In foreign countries--again who would know. Ever hear the expression "on a need to know basis"? That covers it.

IIRC, the Democrat Congress that ruled our country from 1952-1980 took that power away from the CIA back in the mid-1970s.

That was pretty dumb, of course, but they weren't the brightest legislators we've ever had.

If they have reason to believe someone is about to do something bad to the public then they can request permission from the president to assassinate whoever is causing a threat. But they have the means to kill and cover up so who knows.. maybe they don’t ask the president anymore.

They are only allowed to operate outside the US, so they can only kill overseas. === Unlike 007 .. Band and all the others have a license to kill. I want one .. so where do I apply? Is there a learner's permit?
