Are movies about horror or s-x that star children under 13 inappropriate?
For example, IT the clown or that new movie "Good Boys".
Is it not just a little strange that these are both R rated movies that feature little kids playing with s-x toys or having their necks slit open?
Is it an overreaction to question these movies and the people who make them?

Oh, get a grip they are actors and actresses.
They are well aware of the fact that the scary/"inappropriate" scenes aren't real
Stop being a snowflake about child actors and actresses

I never think it's an overreaction to question movies or the people who make them. Movies are a powerful force in our culture. Speaking for myself, I could do without horror movies starring kids. I'm in the minority though, I know that.

No, because the child actor isn't on their own in a questionable situation. They have chaperones, tutors, parents at the end of the day, and sometimes, on location too - not to mention the entire cast & crew they are filming with. Plus they know it's not real.
Furthermore, whilst they may have read the whole script, they won't be involved with the sex side of it, for obvious reasons.

I agree...it is inconsistent to rate a movie as R and the movie has children in it playing some of the speaking roles. It's like saying, "You can't watch the sex act but you can play the sex act."
That is totally dumb.

It's not overreaction to question them. But, banning anything should be with extreme caution as it takes away freedoms. Studios are free to create them (it takes $$ to do it) and people are free not to watch them.
There has to be a proven substantial negative affect.
Gun rights I think is more to the point. There is far more negative and we can't even get universal registration and background checks.
