Poll: Guy/Girl Bestfriends?

Okay, in your opinion, should you talk and be friends with a member of opposite sex if they have a significant other? Do you believe it can be ONLY platonic (ie. one person doesn’t secretly have feelings)? Answer with as much input as you can! (for a psychology project)

Depends on the situation and the intention. For example if it’s someone you work with or encounter on a regular basis. If you were friends with the person before their relationship started. If you feel there is any sexual attraction from yourself or the other party. Etc. I think it is possible for people to have platonic friends (I won’t even say opposite sex because this could apply to gays too) but it’s also very possible that friendship can grow into something more. Like I said it really depends.
