  • mailing medicine?

can i mail my friend a guinea pig antibiotic? i have extra and her guinea pig needs a URI medicine, and i happen to have it. is this legal or could i get in trouble? i thought it would be okay because it’s animal medicine and it’s not like it’s a controlled substance or anything.. but now i’m second guessing it because i don’t feel like becoming a criminal over some pig drugs. thank yall

  • Pac-man Frog & Feeder Fish?

I just adopted a pac-man frog from a relative who passed away. I am a bit unsure about caring for it. He is currently under a year old (i believe about 6-8 months). I have him in a 10 gal tank, with coconut fiber soil (the bricks you add water to) and a water bowl about 3in by 4in. He is in my bedroom, which temp stays around 68-72. I’m looking into heating pads/bulbs, thermometers and hygrometers, etc... money/price is not an issue, i’m just unsure of how to care for the little guy. i went to my pet store, and they told me feeder fish were the best food option for him, i have a half dozen currently. I am also unaware on how to care for feeder fish, what should i feed them, how big of a tank/how many fish should i keep at time? I know I sound exceptionally unprepared and irresponsible, however I was the only person willing to take care of the frog. Giving the frog to a shelter/pet store is not an option, I am ready and willing to learn all I need to know about care. I researched a lot on it, however I’ve gotten different answers and hope to hear firsthand from someone who understands/cares for these pets themselves. thank you all!

  • Carnegie Mellon Summer Session?

Has anyone attended/know someone who attended Carnegie Mellon’s Summer Session Pre-College program? I’m considering pros and cons and would love if anyone has any input. It’s over $10,000 to attend (which is crazy), and I was wondering, to be frank, is it worth it? I’ve heard people say it doesn’t help admissions at all and could honestly just hurt your chances. Also, transferring credits could be a nightmare, considering Carnegies website didn’t clarify if other colleges accept them. I have, and will continue, to do research on it, but does anyone have experience with this? Thank you!

  • Can I sue my employer for violating child labor laws?

I am 15, and in Pennsylvania, where the law states for anyone under 16, can not work more than 18 hours per school week, 3 hours a school day, 8 hours a weekend. My employer has me working shifts from 6-8 hours on school days and 10-13+ hours on weekends. Therefore they are breaking the law, however technically I have agreed to work these hours. Since I have previously agreed, can I still take legal action if I bring a parent into this? My reason for this is because I don’t want to quit my job, I enjoy it...but if I refuse the hours I feel like I will be fired. Advice?

  • Poll: Guy/Girl Bestfriends?

Okay, in your opinion, should you talk and be friends with a member of opposite sex if they have a significant other? Do you believe it can be ONLY platonic (ie. one person doesn’t secretly have feelings)? Answer with as much input as you can! (for a psychology project)

  • Why do we fall in love?

like, it such a weird concept. you meet this one person who is suddenly just your whole world?? you show this person every inch of you, introduce them to all your memories and every aspect of your life. but why? love at first sight in particular- i believe it because i’ve experienced it. i met my current boyfriend three years ago at this religion class thing, and as soon as i seen him, i knew i wanted to spend my life with him. and so far it holds out- it’s been three years and we’re very happy. does anyone have like scientific evidence behind this?

  • Gift Ideas for Boyfriends Birthday?

So, my boyfriends birthday is coming up in a little less than a month now, and i’m really not sure what to get him. This is the first birthday since we’ve started dating so it’s my job to kind of “set the expectations” for our relationship. He insists that he doesn’t want me going out and buying him anything too much, but I do want to get him something small at least, even if it’s home-made. He’s turning 17, and i’m only 16, so please keep that in mind! I was thinking maybe making a memory box of us (we’ve been friends for a while before we dated) but i feel like that’s very “anniversary” and not so much “birthday”. Any other ideas for cute gifts? Home-made or not?

  • How to fix a bad kisser?

I really like this guy, but he is just horrible at kissing. He is very slobbery, rough, and just doesn’t have the right technique. I tried giving subtle hints like saying “let’s be more gentle”, “let’s practice more”, and even pulling away from him when things get too bad. I don’t want to give up this relationship just because he can’t kiss, but I am afraid that it’s a sign that he’s not good in bed either. I obviously don’t want to hurt his feelings and say “you’re bad at kissing” but he simply isn’t getting the hints. Help?

  • Relationship advice?

So my boyfriend of two years liked this girls picture. Wasn’t a big deal as I normally don’t care who he is friends with or who’s posts he likes. However, this picture was my friend (he didn’t know she was close to me) in a revealing bikini, in multiple poses. I still wasn’t too worried, until he followed her and voted on the meter that she was “hot”. I confronted him about it and he lied the first time saying he didn’t like the picture. After I got mad, he explained that the voting was an accident, but that he was sorry for liking the picture and how much he regrets it-blah blah blah. This normally isn’t like him at all, he’s quite loyal. I explained I’m upset and he says he deserves it, but he doesn’t want to lose me and is willing to rebuild my trust. And if i’m being honest, I don’t want to lose him either. It just made me mad that he lied about doing it. Do you think it was a legitimate mistake? Should I forgive him and try to make things better? Am I making this a bigger deal than it needs to be?

  • How to change my life around?

I’ve been struggling with my life for about a year now. I don’t work out anymore, I don’t eat healthy, I’m talking to the wrong people, and I’ve literally stopped caring about everything. I’ve tried everything to get back on track. I’ve created cute motivational cards to look at each day, made schedules, but nothing is working. No matter what, I always stop pushing. Is there anything to do to help me change my life?
