Beto O'Rourke says " Hell yes were going to take their AR-15 and AK-47 rifles ". Considering there are an estimated 16 million of these?

rifles owned by Americans, and to purchase back the guns will run into the billions of dollars, can anyone honestly agree with this ridiculous idea?

LOL. Beta can barely change a tire. Yeah, I'd be real worried about him coming for my gun.

Ask O'Rourke if he is going to be the person to walk up to the homeowners and tell them , "Give me your guns"?   If so I would like to take out a large life insurance policy on him for 1 week.

O’Rourke might have good intentions but this is stupid.

The biggest problem with the concept of forbidding a certain type of weapon is the age-old concept of, "where there's a will, there's a way." Let's say you manage to take every AR-15 and AK-47 from every american citizen. Then what? Is the next step long rifles? Shotguns? Pistols? Hunting bows? Let's say you deal with all of those. How about gasoline? Molotov cocktails are still a threat. Flour, coffee grounds, and sugar? You can make HME with a quick trip to the grocery store...

I guess the point I'm making is that the answer isn't regulating the tools available...

If some cities can do a buy-back and afford it, the US can do the same.

Yeah..it's ridiculous..I imagine he'd only want to give pennies on the dollar for them, as well. That would lower the cost..but also his popularity among sane people.

He pretty much shot himself in the foot, so to speak.

    :D

When Beto was a toddler, a kindergartener took his toy gun and wouldn't give it back. He hasn't thought of anything else since.

Trump just spent a Trillion on billionaire tax breaks. Lucky for us Beto never had a shot.

You can ignore O'Rourke. Everyone else does.
