What kind of insect is this?

Found several of these around the bed in the spare bedroom and want to know what it is.

If it's that "wormy" looking thing in the center of the photo, it's a carpet beetle larva.  Harmless to you, but it munches on any organic material--paper, wool, book bindings, inadequately sealed stores of rice, flour, oats, etc.  These little b***tards can completely obliterate an insect collection if they get into the display boxes.
