    If x = 5, the perimeter of a rectangle whose length is (6x - 4) and whose width is (3x + 2) is 86.

    Perimeter is (Length x 2) + (Width x 2)

    Length is ..... 6x - 4 ..... 6x5 - 4 ..... 30 - 4 ..... 26

    Width is ...... 3x + 2 ..... 3x5 + 2 ...... 15 + 2 ..... 17

    Perimeter is .... (26 x 2) + (17 x 2) ..... 52 + 34 ...... 86

    Length = 26 and width = 17 and so 2(26+17) = 86 units which is the perimeter of the rectangle

    If x=5, find the perimeter of the rectangle whose length is 6x-4 and whose width is 3x+2

    Perimeter = 2 (Length + Width)

    .................= 2 (6x-4 + 3x+2)

    .................= 2 (9x-2)

    .................= 18x - 4

    When x=5,

    Perimeter = 18(5) - 4 = 86..............ANS

    Okay, thank u :)

    That's a really easy question. The length is 6 times 5 minus 4. The width is 3 times 5 plus 2. Then add 2 lengths and 2 widths to get the perimeter.
