My boyfriend embarrasses me because he weighs 400 pounds. But he is good to me and I love him?

That is morbidly obese. Can you two actually date? Can he get out and about? Where is he "good to you", how is he "good to you" and what the heck can you two share in lifestyles? Are you morbidly obese as well? Who drives and shops and goes to the bookstore?

Well he does need to lose weight for the sake of his health. He's hugely at risk of heart problems, diabetes and other health conditions.

In regards to your embarrassment of his physical appearance, you're just going to have to find a way to get over that if you truly love him and want to be with him. One way to do that would be to improve your own self-esteem and stop caring what other people think. Remember, most people are wrapped up in their own lives and don't give rat's furry behind about who you're dating. If they really care that much, then their lives are pathetic and miserable, and you should pity them, not desire their approval.
