well if you are under contract in the ROTC...NO!  you cannot.  If you are not under contract, in theory you can, but i think you'd have a hard time getting accepted.  most of those slots go to high school students, and then those serving on A.D. who still fit into the age requirements, etc.

Likely yes...and you'd almost certainly have to restart as a Freshman.

No! Application to any of the US Military academies must be made before the applicant begins their senior year in high school.

    Yes, you could.

Most people go straight into the service academies from high school, but there are a handful that do a year or even two at another college than then get into an academy.  It's a pretty small number, though.  I can only remember a few of my USAFA classmates that went that route.

So, your Congressman and Senators will probably have that in the back of their minds when they are thinking about who to hand out nominations to.  Some of them are pretty generous with their nominations though and only a few of their nominees actually get in.

You will get some transfer credit which might make your class load a little easier, but you are still going to end up doing the full four years.  If you make it through the full four years of ROTC and get commissioned, you'll be a year or two ahead of where you'd be if you went to West Point.

NO. You request an appointment to West Point through your Congressperson INSTEAD of ROTC at a civilian college.

While it is TECHNICALLY possible to transfer, it NEVER happens. Your congressional representative won't waste their appointment on someone already on track for an officer commission through ROTC.

Yes. If you are in your first two years they will transfer you.

You can't just apply to West Point. You have to be nominated by a member of Congress. If you are already attending university when you are nominated then you can transfer to West Point. West Point may or may not giver you any credit for courses you completed at the first university.
