Windows said I needed to update windows 10, so I did. But now my wifi symbol swaps to a globe and only works some times, pls halp.?

    The globe means you have no connection to the internet. If a reboot does not fix the issue, sometimes all you need to do is to click the globe and reconnect to the Wifi router. I would also suggest downloading the latest driver for your wifi device from the manufacturer and installing it.

    Yeah I don't like the new symbol in Windows 10 for Wi-Fi but we're stuck with it. You can delete the connection and recreate it and that will fix the problem. I noticed the same annoyance when they upgraded Windows 10

    Mine looks normal and works. Had the globe once, it shows when connected to the web/network.

    Really? I updated to the latest version, and it still looks normal.
