Why do I need to sign into BBC iPlayer every time I use it?

    In case you are one of those people like me, who does not have a TV licence.

    Probably something to do with no allowing cookies, enough data sharing or automatic clean-ups. Some TVs annoyingly clear out and don't refresh the stored sign-in data.

    Are you using Firestick or something like that?

    In the last few weeks, whenever I use BBC iPlayer on my smart TV, I have to sign in on another device first. Previously, it kept me signed in. I'm not doing anything differently.

    Has anyone else encountered this, and found a solution?
