Assuming the order in which the students in a group are chosen, the problem is one of combinations.

If 8 students are chosen for each group, the number of possible groups is C(70,8) [70 choose 8]

    C(70,8) = 70!/(8!62!) = 9440350920

If 10 students are chosen for each group, the number of possible groups is C(70,10)

    C(70,10) = 70!/(10!60!) = 396704524216

    Any 8 from 70 = 9440350920

    Any 10 from 70 = 3.967045242*10^11
