No, in fact the military had been tracking the ISIS leader and planning a raid but thanks to Trump's blunder they had to move up the timetable. It's the reason they didn't capture the guy alive like they planned but he managed to kill himself.

The USA are now seen as cowards by the Kurds. They are now under the wing of Russia and the Syrian army.

No. He betrayed the Kurds because he wanted a big distraction to change the news cycle away from the impeachment hearings; plus Putin has been asking for an American withdrawal from Syria for years.
