Vanessa has the better root meaning if you ask me (thought still not particularly powerful or wise)

Vanessa: Butterfly

Claudia: Lame or Crippled

I like Vanessa. The nickname Nessie is adorable.

Claudia is sophisticated and pretty. But doesn’t have many nicknames I’d like. So I choose Vanessa because I think Nessa is s great nickname
