What is the best software for converting text to pdf, that you can use offline and they don't want money every month?

I had acrobat dc, but they say they want me to pay them money every month now.  when i bought the program 2 years ago, it wasn't like that.

Hi. I've recently become a fan of this one ... I use Puppy linux which comes with Geany & Abiword already, but happened across an option to install this in a single click - so I went for it, because I had some time to kill.

It's a very talented actual desktop publishing software ... kinda related to all the stuff MS Publisher might do, including fancy layouts & foldable documents with nice graphics insertable, etc..

It's free as the article says, runs on many different computers - so if You have a Friend with a Macbook or Apple desktop they can also use the same files easily. As You can see it was born on linux, but runs on others - Windows is listed there somewhere.

And it IS capable of full export-to-PDF format functions.

This means it can save not just txt files to PDF, but most of it's custom documents to PDF also.

I use WordPerfect X13. It has a built-in pdf printer. That is, print to pdf. It also has a built-in pdf to text converter, if you just ask it to insert a pdf document into an open WordPerfect document. I do this frequently with legal descriptions for our reports. Like, deeds come in pdf format, so insert it into a blank document. May need a little clean-up, but sure beats typing it all in by hand from scratch. You can probably buy WordPerfect on Ebay or at Amazon.

Many programs have a save to PDF feature already built-in.  If not that, then there is the Microsoft Print to PDF that is built into Windows.  If you don't have the latest windows or software that has it built-in then try the free version of Nitro PDF.
